While just a little girl from Tennessee, Leigh Thomas has had quite a life experience. If surviving incest, two rapes, and attempted murder isn't enough to teach a woman a lesson on surviving abuse, then a marriage to "Fred" the ("F" word) taught Leigh a lifetime's worth.

Leigh jumped out into the world as a singer in New York City, a screenwriter for her tv show "An Ordinary Journey," a board game designer, world traveler, and an author of "An Ordinary Journey...A User's Guide to Healing from the Abuses of Sex, Drugs, Rock 'n Roll, and Attempted Murder." What inspired her first published book was her marriage with Fred. He was not only abusive but also a con artist who bankrupted her and her company to the tune of one million dollars.

Leigh considers herself a smart woman with an IQ of 149, proving that being manipulated by the man you love can really happen to anyone. They say love is blind, but in this case, she says it was just plain stupid.

Her mission is to share her story and get people talking about abuse...even if it is one person at a time. She often says she’s just a regular person; Many women, children and men who are abused are just regular people, but the experience is sadly a common one...just an ordinary journey.
